meh, reblogging because I drive past this sign pretty much every day. Ventura is a lovely little beach town to visit and spend a few days here, but after 7 years  and some pretty bad times, I’m pretty much over it.

Time to move on to bigger and better things.

I’ve lived here for 13 years total. I’ve lived in three other towns, two in northern California. The other was Vegas.

Northern California wasn’t all too exciting. The weather was a little nicer, which i don’t necessarily care for.there were also less Mexicans, but more Asians. Not that that’s a problem. I couldn’t say its better or worse than here.

Vegas is a horrible place to live. Its ether extremely cold or extremely hot. The people are bizarre and afraid of connecting to one another. Thats because not many people who move to Vegas stay there long, people are all come and go.

Maybe its because my family’s here, or my friend, or its because Ventura is the most ive ever known. Maybe its my obsession with consistency. But I really have a hard time imagining living anywhere else. I don’t love my town. I don’t have a specific land mark i enjoy seeing every day. there’s nothing that’s really special to me here. I’m comfortable. I wouldn’t cry if my mom decided to pack up and leave tomorrow, but i also wouldn’t be sad living here forever.

Sorry, that was a weird little rant. I don’t know what point i was trying to make, or if there was one. I just felt compelled to share. (which i honestly never do)
